The practical details, made simple.
Starting therapy is both a personal and financial decision. My goal is to make the practical details as straightforward as possible, so you can focus on finding the support that's right for you.
Below, you'll find information about session fees, out-of-network benefits, and what to expect when getting started. If you have questions, you're welcome to reach out.
What is a concierge practice?
I intentionally maintain a smaller caseload so I can devote greater time, attention, and thought to each person I work with. This allows me to develop a deeper understanding of your experiences, be more intentional in tailoring treatment to your needs, and approach our work with the care and consistency it deserves. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, I prioritize building a meaningful therapeutic relationship and creating a space where you can work toward lasting change at a pace that feels right for you.
Investment
My approach to therapy is grounded in years of specialized training, clinical experience, and a genuine commitment to understanding each person I work with. Like most private practices in NYC, I am an out-of-network provider and I am not contracted with any insurance panels.
Therapy is an investment in yourself that can continue to pay dividends long after a session ends. The benefits extend beyond the therapy room, influencing how you show up at work, in your relationships, and in your everyday life. Choosing to invest in your mental health is a meaningful way to invest in the quality of your future.
$275 per 45 minute session
Many of my clients receive between 60% to 80% reimbursement for their sessions after meeting their deductible! Check your out-of-network benefits here.
Reimbursement means your insurance company pays you back for a portion of your therapy costs. Processing times vary by provider, but reimbursement typically takes 30–60 days.
I verify your coverage before beginning therapy so you know what to expect.
Why Choose an Out-of-Network Psychologist?
Your choice of therapist should be guided by what you need, not just which providers are covered by your insurance. Working with an out-of-network psychologist can offer several advantages:
-
Choose the right fit for you. Expand your options beyond your insurance network to find a psychologist whose expertise, perspective, and approach align with what you're looking for.
-
Care that prioritizes your needs. Insurance coverage can come with requirements around diagnosis, medical necessity, and treatment. Private-pay therapy allows us to focus on your personal goals and the concerns that matter most to you.
-
A more individualized experience. Therapy can be shaped around your unique circumstances, with the flexibility to explore underlying patterns, relationships, and life experiences at a pace that makes sense for you.
-
An investment in lasting change. Therapy isn't just about getting through a difficult moment. It's an opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of yourself, change longstanding patterns, and build skills that support your well-being over time.
-
Potential reimbursement through your insurance. Out-of-network benefits may cover a portion of your session fees, depending on your plan. I partner with Mentaya to help you check your benefits and navigate the reimbursement process.
Ultimately, choosing an out-of-network psychologist gives you the opportunity to make your therapeutic relationship a priority and find care that feels right for you.
